Here is some good news for a change. Etsy is giving sellers a fee break for the holidays, and it only takes a few minutes to understand.
How it works
Share & Save normally refunds 4 percent of the transaction fee on qualifying orders. For the holidays, that refund goes up to 6.5 percent, which covers the full transaction fee on eligible orders. The orders have to be completed between October 20, 2026 and January 4, 2027, and the buyer has to click an eligible Share & Save link in that same window. The regular 4 percent refund returns on January 4 at 9 AM Eastern.
Sellers already enrolled get the higher refund automatically. If you are not enrolled, you can join for free in Shop Manager, but you still need to send buyers your Share & Save links.
What still costs you
Payment processing, listing fees, and other applicable charges still apply. This only affects the transaction fee.
The Offsite Ads trap
If a buyer clicks your Share & Save link and then clicks an Etsy Offsite Ad before buying, you can lose the refund. You would then owe the 12 or 15 percent Offsite Ads fee on top of the regular transaction fee. Worth knowing before you share links widely.
Making the most of it
Holiday traffic is the whole point, so the more places your listings live, the more chances you have to catch a buyer. I list once in Nifty and let it put my inventory in front of shoppers on every marketplace, so I am not rebuilding listings during the busiest weeks of the year.
